Southern Development Basketball League is committed to protecting the sporting integrity of the competition and maintaining a controlled, fair, and professionally managed basketball environment.

The tournament applies internal procedures designed to support fair play, proper match conduct, participant accountability, and the orderly administration of all competition-related activities.

Player and Team Eligibility

Only officially approved participants may take part in the tournament.

  • authorised medical and technical personnel.

No player may participate unless properly registered and cleared for competition under the tournament’s operational framework.

Fair Play and Sporting Conduct

All participants are expected to act in accordance with the principles of fair play.

This includes:

  • competing honestly and respectfully;
  • accepting official match decisions;
  • avoiding aggressive, abusive, or disruptive conduct;
  • complying with match procedures and venue rules;
  • respecting opponents, officials, and staff.

Access to protected competition areas is limited to authorised persons only. This includes the court area, technical zones, referee areas, medical access routes, and operational zones used by organisers and technical staff.

Restricted-access rules are applied in order to:

  • protect participants and staff;
  • maintain a secure and professionally managed event environment.

Video and Technical Support

Matches may be recorded and technically supported by StreamHub.

Video materials may be used, where appropriate, for:

  • official match coverage;
  • archival purposes;
  • internal review;
  • incident verification;
  • protest and disciplinary assessment.

Technical support does not replace sporting authority. All sporting, disciplinary, and administrative decisions remain with the Organiser.
